LEVELS OF COMPETITION

  • Junior High
    Focus on learning basic skills
    Emphasis on development over winning
    Balanced playing time for all athletes
  • C-Squad
    Prepares athletes for senior high levels
    Participation encouraged (equal time not guaranteed)
    Development over winning
  • B-Squad (Junior Varsity)
    Builds skills for varsity-level play
    Learning to win is part of development
    Playing time is not equal
  • Varsity
    Top athletes in grades 9–12
    Compete for conference, section, and state titles
    Playing time based on readiness and team needs
    Younger athletes may be moved up when appropriate
