About St. Clair Public School

Located just 7 miles southeast of Mankato, Minnesota, St. Clair Public School serves as a proud centerpiece of our small-town community. We are the Home of the Cyclones, with an enrollment of approximately 815 students in grades K–12.

We offer a welcoming and supportive learning environment, featuring:
  • Preschool with extended care options
  • Kids Connection: Before- and after-school care
  • Small class sizes at the elementary level
  • A broad range of high school classes, extracurricular activities, and athletics, where students are encouraged and empowered to participate

District Priorities & Goals

The administrative team is committed to using consistent, measurable tools to monitor student achievement and overall school performance. Staff leadership teams will collaborate with all educators to define strategies and annual action plans to meet district goals. Progress will be communicated regularly with the School Board and the wider community.
 

Raise Student Achievement

  • Teachers will use assessment data to support each student in reaching their annual learning goals.
  • Emphasis will be placed on enhancing students’ critical thinking skills.

Deliver a Rigorous and Relevant Curriculum

  • Curriculum will be actively differentiated to meet diverse learner needs using research-based interventions.
  • Curriculum will be mapped and adjusted as needed to remain current and effective.

Communicate Effectively with All Stakeholders

  • Strengthen relationships among board members, administrators, staff, students, parents, and community members.
  • Promote consistent use of the district’s communication chain.
  • Foster ongoing professional dialogue between the School Board, Superintendent, Principals, and Staff.

Maintain a Financially Stable School District

  • Ensure responsible stewardship of resources to support long-term financial sustainability.
