Qualifications
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate versatility in and out of the classroom, with a strong academic background and previous teaching experience.
- Candidate should have a strong background in digital curriculum and technology will be expected as the St. Clair School District uses technology extensively to enhance the learning of all our students.
- Candidate must obtain Minnesota State Teaching License for 7-12 Social Studies, and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Advanced degree preferred, due to CIS courses, but not mandatory as we have some flexibility in this area.
Responsibilities
- Under the general supervision of the High School Principal, facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
- Promotes a learning environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
- Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within department, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.

Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (ABS, EBD, SLD, ASD, or other appropriate licensure)
- Strong knowledge of instructional strategies and accommodations
- Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, parents, and support professionals
Preferred:
- Experience working with junior high or middle school students
- Background in co-teaching and inclusive practices
- Training in behavior management and positive behavior supports
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and small group instruction in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs and progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Support students in developing academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills

- Strong background in a variety of art media (drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, digital art, etc.)
- Knowledge of age-appropriate instructional strategies for elementary through high school students
- Ability to integrate art history, culture, and contemporary practices into instruction
- Experience with or willingness to incorporate technology into art education.
- Candidate must obtain Minnesota State Elementary Teaching License and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned visual art curriculum for students in grades K–12
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all learners
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Teach a wide range of artistic techniques, media, and concepts appropriate to each grade level

- Ability to offer a range of courses between Intro to Advanced or specialized electives
- Candidate must obtain Minnesota State Elementary Teaching License and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-aligned visual art instruction for assigned high school courses.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varying student skill levels
- Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback
- Maintain and manage art supplies, equipment, and classroom space responsibly
